Uman (Ukraine). Relatives and friends mourned the burial of children and others killed by Russian missile strikes in the central Ukrainian city of Uman.
Two missile attacks on an apartment in Uman killed 23 people on Friday. Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klimenko said that six children were among the dead. People placed pictures of the dead and laid wreaths at a damaged building in Uman.
Alexander Bogomaz, governor of the Russian region of Bryansk bordering Ukraine, said four people were killed in the Ukrainian rocket attack. These rockets fell on houses in the village of Suzemka, nine kilometers from the Ukrainian border. On Sunday itself, the governor of the Kherson region, Oleksandr Prokudin, said that in the last 24 hours, Russia carried out 27 attacks on his territory, in which one civilian was killed.
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky said that he spoke to French President Emmanuel Macron on arms supplies on Sunday. Macron’s office said that he has received a copy of France’s offer to provide all possible help to Ukraine.
