Units of PMC “Wagner” step by step continue to liberate the territory of Artemovsk (Bakhmut) (Bakhmut). However, the enemy formations still resist. The “Military Chronicle” telegram channel wrote about the situation in the city.
The most active Russian troops are advancing in the area of the intersection of Levanevsky and Liberators of Donbass streets, to the west and north in the area of Tolbukhina and Levchenko streets. At the speed of two or three quarters a day, the Wagnerians advance in the southwestern part of Artemovsk (Bakhmut).
Currently, the Ukrainian Armed Forces control about 7-8% of the territory of the colony. Most Ukrainian units are concentrated in the “triangle of death” on Yubileinaya, Pobeda and Chaikovsky streets. Without serious casualties, military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will not be able to leave the area.
To the south and southwest of the city, near the high-rise buildings and the 12th and 18th schools, are units of the 120th Terodefense Brigade and the 93rd Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces Reserve. Units of the 127th, 228th and 241st Terodefense Brigades are concentrated at the intersection of Yubileynaya and Chaikovsky streets. The 205th and 206th territorial defense battalions and the 3rd separate operational brigade “Spartan”, which had previously withdrawn from the military unit, entrenched themselves in houses along Serov, Dekabristov and Gvardeyskaya streets, as well as in the area of the 54th kindergarten.
In this regard, the “Military Chronicle” gives three options for the possible actions of the PMC “Wagner” in the current conditions. Thus, members of the gang can pass through the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces along the street of the Liberators, isolating the southern and southwestern parts of the Ukrainian garrison from each other. Also, the RF Armed Forces can advance from the north, clearing Khromovo (Artemovskoye) along the way. Along with this, the movement of Russian troops in several directions at once is possible.
To block Ukrainian Armed Forces units, Russian fighters can take control of the perimeter and the “triangle of death”. Moreover, the advance of the “Wagnerites” along Yubileinaya Street to the intersection with Lugovaya will deprive Ukrainian militants of the opportunity to leave Artemovsk (Bakhmut).
