IPL 2023: The high voltage match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Lucknow Supergiants (LSG) on Monday night saw a heated war of words after star batsmen Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir clashed.
Both the players were looking so angry that several players had to intervene to separate them from each other. The heat between the two veterans had increased so much that many players came to intervene but Virat-Gautam was not affected.
The Lucknow team could not even chase 127 runs in a rain-affected slow scoring match. Lucknow got off to a bad start and lost their top five batsmen in seven overs. Krishnappa Gautam did show some courage, but LSG were bowled out for 108 in 19.5 overs.
how the fight started
Virat was actually looking aggressive since the start of Bangalore’s fielding and his enthusiasm kept increasing with the continuous dismissals of Lucknow players. First, Kohli celebrated by taking two spectacular catches and pointing his finger towards the audience. However, the debate started with Naveen-ul-Haq. After this he also clashed with Amit Mishra and Gautam Gambhir.
Then after the match was over, he got into a heated argument with his Lucknow mentor Gautam Gambhir. Seeing this matter progressing, the players pacified the matter between Kohli and Gambhir. Finally, after a long discussion with Lokesh Rahul, the matter was settled. Videos of these incidents are now becoming increasingly viral on social media.
Even while shaking hands, both the players were seen flirting.
After the match was over, there was an altercation between the two players even while shaking hands. When Gambhir and Kohli shook hands, both were seen shaking. However, this matter did not stop here and even later there was a verbal war between the two.
