Shimla. The Meteorological Department on Tuesday issued a ‘yellow alert’ forecasting thunderstorms and lightning in the sky till May 6 at isolated places in the low and mid-altitude mountainous areas including the plains of Himachal Pradesh.

According to the department, light to moderate rainfall is continuing in many parts of all the 12 districts of the state. The department said that Jogindernagar in Mandi district received maximum 47 mm, Manali 24 mm, Pachhad 23 mm, Solan 11.2 mm. And Shimla recorded 8 mm of rain. He informed that 17 roads in the state were blocked for traffic due to the rains.

According to the department, a house was damaged and one person injured after a stone fell in Manju Ariya area of ​​Sabathu area in Solan district in the early hours of Tuesday following intermittent rains. In another incident, Shimla district police said. There is a possibility of drowning in Sutlej river of Umeshwar, a resident of Kumarsain in the district. He told that the NDRF team and the local police are looking for them.
