Poland intends to obtain reparations from Germany, then from Russia

The head of the Polish president’s office’s international policy office, Marcin Przydacz, has said Warsaw may demand reparations from Russia after similar demands from Germany, reports the Financial Times.

“We think we can start a dialogue with Berlin, but with Putin it’s a different civilization,” he said.

According to Przydacz, after we have succeeded with Germany, the next step could be to start this discussion with the Russian side.

Earlier, Polish European Affairs Minister Szymon Shinkowski vel Senk said the issue of German reparations for damage caused during World War II would drag on for several generations yet.
