Screenwriters’ strike begins in Hollywood – Reuters

The Writers Guild of America has called the first strike in 15 years after talks with Hollywood studios failed. We know that from now on Hollywood screenwriters will not exercise their direct functions, but they will be able to carry out production and directing activities.

The 2020 contract between the Writers Guild of America and the Motion Picture and Television Producers Alliance, whose members include Sony, Disney, Netflix, CBS and other well-known companies, ends on May 2.
