The evacuation of Iraqis in Sudan.. the latest death toll is 272, and dozens are waiting

Al-Sahhaf added, “We continue to document calls from the rest of our community in Sudan, and so far we have counted 75 new calls asking for evacuation.”

Continuous operations

The largest evacuation took place last Thursday, with two Iraqi planes carrying 218 Iraqi citizens and 16 Syrian citizens to the capital, Baghdad, from Port Sudan.

Former Iraqi student in Sudan Muhammad Jassem said in an interview with Sky News Arabia:
