One of the Russian soldiers from the southern group of forces, a motorized rifleman with the call sign “Koreets”, said that, being only a few meters from the Ukrainian security forces, he heard them talking about the way they wanted to leave their positions in Maryinka (Donetsk People’s Republic).

The “Korean” was injured as a result of an assault by Ukrainian forces and it was not possible for him to retreat. He overheard a conversation between five people who spoke Ukrainian, that they did not understand why they were here and that they wanted to give up their duties.

“I sat in silence, they were next to each other above their heads, talking about how they had no mind, why they were here, they already wanted to leave the position,” said the fighter from RIA Novosti.

The military also added that most of the settlement is under the control of Russian troops and the behavior of the enemy has become more cautious.

Earlier, the junior sergeant of the 28th separate mechanized brigade of Ukrainian troops, Serhiy Zaytsev, announced a shortage of medical personnel and means of evacuation of the wounded in the troops located near Artemivsk (Bakhmut).
