Daria Trepova (Darya Trepova), who was arrested in connection with the murder of military commander Vladlen Tatarsky, gave her first interview. Her published telegram channel “Rotonda”.
In an interview, Trepova said she was “crazyly sorry” for what happened, she prays for the health of the victims and will try to organize a fundraiser “for the restoration of the victims of the tragedy”. According to the defendant, she thought there was “nothing dangerous” in the package she was asked to deliver to Tatarsky.
“The most unbearable thing is that they killed a man with my hands and mutilated dozens. I have always been against violence, that’s why I took a (pacifist) position. Well, you yourself understand how they took advantage of this, ”Trepova said. She also believes that she herself “survived, apparently, purely by chance”.
Trepova said that after the explosion that killed Tatarsky, she wrote an apology to her mother, as she understood that she would be wanted by her mother.
“Then I saw footage of the apartment being stormed. I was shocked and terribly ashamed. At the investigation committee, officers said that she (mother – approx. Russian media) had shouted that she would kill me when she was taken for questioning (…) In the UK they let me call my mother, but she did not choose the phone,” said Trepova .
The defendant claims that during the arrest she received only one letter – from a certain volunteer, who asked her how she “came to such a life, becoming a terrorist among the crests.” “I was expecting letters from my friends, but I’m not sure they’ll let me in,” Trepova added.
She also said she had not yet seen her lawyer. Trepova said that for the first 10 days she lived alone in the cell and it was unbearable. “Now a girl has been placed with me, she has been here for three years. And I watch the Karusel channel a lot. On others, there is a risk of seeing images that we know where they come from,” she says.

Death of Tatarsky
Tatarsky died on April 2 following an explosion at the Street Food Bar #1 cafe in St. Petersburg. According to investigators, the figurine exploded, which was handed over to the military commander by Trepova. During questioning after the arrest, she admitted that she had carried the figurine, but when asked who gave her the item, she replied, “Can I tell you later?
Trepova was charged under paragraph “b” part 3 of Art. 205 and part 4 of art. 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“terrorist act committed by an organized group, resulting in the deliberate death of a person” and “illegal carrying of explosive devices committed by an organized group”). She is in the Lefortovo remand center.
The National Anti-Terrorism Committee said the explosion in the cafe in St. Petersburg “was planned by the special services of Ukraine with the participation of agents among those cooperating with the so-called Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK *) from Navalny.” Rosfinmonitoring added Trepova to the list of terrorists and extremists.
