Missile production doubled during the war: Sergei Shoigu

Kiev: Russia’s defense chief on Tuesday urged a company in the country to double its missile production. It is being said that this request of the Defense Chief has come in view of possible retaliation by Ukraine. Both nations are said to have experienced a shortage of ammunition in the 14-month-long war.

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu told a meeting with top military officials that the Tactical Missile Corporation is fulfilling its contracts on time. Shoigu said, however, that it is necessary to double the production of high-precision weapons in the shortest possible time. Analysts are trying to find out whether Russia has run out of ammunition, because Here, its action against Ukraine has slowed down a bit.

Britain’s Defense Ministry said in Tuesday’s assessment that a number of problems remain at the heart of Russia’s campaign in Ukraine. It said Russia did not have enough weapons to achieve success in operations against Ukraine.
