Raisi in Damascus, the first visit of an Iranian president since the beginning of the conflict

The Iranian president’s visit to Damascus is the first by an Iranian official in this post in the allied country since the outbreak of the conflict in 2011, according to official Syrian media.

And the official Syrian news agency “SANA” reported that Ibrahim Raisi arrived at Damascus International Airport at the head of an “important political and economic ministerial delegation”.
