Washington: The United States is sending nearly $300 million in additional military aid to Ukraine, including massive amounts of rockets and ammunition, amid Russian attacks on Ukraine. Officials gave this information on Tuesday. Officials said on the condition of anonymity that this new package being given by the US to Ukraine also includes the deadly Hydra-70 rocket which is fired from fighter aircraft. Apart from this, high mobility artillery rocket systems, mortars, howitzers Rounds, missiles, rifles as well as rockets in huge quantities are also included. These weapons will be shipped to Ukraine from Pentagon stocks to expedite the delivery process.
This consignment of weapons is being provided by the US at a time when the officials of Ukraine are claiming that they are ready to retaliate against Russia. Ukraine’s Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said on Monday that the availability of weapons was very important in making the attack successful.
