7th Pay Commission: Big update for government employees, dearness allowance will increase this much from this month

7th Pay Commission DA Hike: The Central Government will soon again hike the Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief for Central Government employees and pensioners.

To fight the rising inflation, the central government increases the dearness allowance from time to time. It is revised twice every year usually in January and July. That is, now the next increase in DA will be applicable from July 1. The government has recently increased DA by 4 percent, which has been considered applicable from January 1.

AICPI numbers rise in March after a decline in February

DA for central government employees is calculated on the basis of CPI-IW index. The Labor Bureau, a branch of the labor ministry, releases the CPI-IW data every month. Dearness Allowance for central government employees and pensioners is calculated with a fixed formula based on these indices. This time the AICPI index data for March has been released on 28 April. This figure has increased again this time. It fell in February but rose again in March and April. Because of this, it is expected that from July 1, there will be an increase of 4 percent in the dearness allowance.

The DA of the employees would have increased so much

Let us tell you that the dearness allowance received by the employees is 42 percent. It is expected that the DA of the employees may again increase by 4 percent. In the report released by the All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI), it has been said that the Modi government can once again increase the dearness allowance by 4 percent in the month of July. The government will announce this hike by September-October but it will be considered applicable from July 1.

Salary can increase so much

If the basic salary of an employee is Rs 18,000, then his salary will increase by Rs 720 per month. That means there will be an annual increase of Rs 8,640 in the salary of the employees. Employees whose basic is Rs 56,900 per month, their salary will increase by Rs 2,276. That is, on an annual basis, Rs 27,312 will increase. If you look at the past trend, for the last 2 times the government is increasing DA by 4 percent and in the month of July, the government can once again increase DA by 4 percent.
