The tightening of traffic rules for electric scooters has not reduced user interest in them: with the start of the rental season, rental demand has increased 2.5 times in major cities per compared to last year. MegaFon experts came to such conclusions after analyzing data on downloading kicksharing apps.

Kicksharing services have the most active distribution in the Central Federal District, where their audience has tripled compared to last year. Next come the North-Western and Volga districts, where the number of users has doubled. Among the cities, Tula showed the greatest dynamics, where demand increased by 11 times, Kislovodsk – 10 times, and Kazan – 9 times.

Residents of the Siberian Federal District are in no hurry to start the season – there is a drop of 16% compared to last year.

During the warm season, residents of large cities see electric scooters as an affordable alternative to taxis, car sharing and private cars. The most active users of personal mobility equipment rental services live in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg. These are mainly people between the ages of 25 and 35, their share in the total number of electric scooter users is 47%. At the same time, over the past year, the number of users in the 50+ age group has increased significantly – by 84%.
