IT expert Masalovich called artificial intelligence a weapon that needs to be urgently blocked

IT-specialist in information security Andrei Masalovich in an interview with “360” said that neural networks are a weapon that needs to be blocked as soon as possible.

In today’s world, AI has entered a person’s life quite seriously, but is it as good as it seems? According to Andrei Masalovich, the neural network can be used as an information weapon, which will entail a number of serious consequences for humanity.

“Now they realized that neural networks and artificial intelligence in the form they are now can already be used as a weapon. And this must be limited, ”said the IT specialist.

It is theoretically possible to impose a moratorium on the use of artificial intelligence, but in practice it is almost impossible to do so. Scientists believe that moving systems from one site to another will interfere with this, and this will continue indefinitely.

The only and more or less effective alternative will be paid use. Money will weed out a large number of users who do not want to pay for the use of AI.

By the way, horrified by the rapid development of neural networks and their “godfather” Geoffrey Hinton. In an interview with CNN, he admitted that he did not expect such a rapid development and is concerned about this.

Also, in an interview with the New York Times, he said that he partly regrets his brainchild, on which he worked for most of his life. Initially, he expected that AI would be used purely for progress and good deeds, but it turned out that such a development is no less actively used for many illegal purposes.

The race between such giants as Google and Microsoft exacerbates the competition. They compete to create more advanced artificial intelligence, and this may result in the development of a superintelligence that does not want to obey humanity.
