But do you know that there are some rules for keeping liquor in the house. Yes, you might not know that even at home you cannot keep more than the prescribed quantity of liquor.

Not only this, the limit of foreign and domestic brands is also fixed. At the same time, there is also a rule to take license for keeping liquor more than the prescribed limit. The limit for keeping liquor and its brand is also fixed in the license. In such a situation, if you drink more than the prescribed quantity, you will be considered a criminal and you may also have to go to jail. So let us tell you what is the limit of keeping liquor in the house.

Actually, the Excise Department of UP had issued a new rule last year. In this rule, the license of personal home bar has been mentioned, that is, how much liquor can be kept in the house, it has been mentioned in this rule. According to this rule, the people of UP can keep only four bottles of 750 ml liquor at home. This will include two Indian brands and two foreign brands. If you want to keep more liquor in the house than this, then you will need a bar license in the house.

On the other hand, those who want to make a bar at home will have to take a license. At the same time, even after getting the license, the maximum limit is fixed. A maximum of 72 bottles can be kept in 15 categories of liquor. According to excise officials, the purpose of this rule is not to harass anyone, but to give legal recognition to those people who want to set up their own private bar at home.

Security deposit and annual fee also fixed

Under the new rules, those who buy liquor in bulk from the shop can also be asked to show home bar license. According to the information received, an application can be made for the Home Bar from the District Excise Department, which will be approved by the DM. One year fee for home bar license will be Rs 12 thousand and security deposit will be Rs 51 thousand.

Under this rule, a maximum of 6 imported and 4 Indian brand bottles of whisky, 2 imported and 1 Indian brand rum bottle, 2 imported and 1 Indian brand vodka bottle, 1-1 imported and Indian brand liquor bottle , 12 imported and 6 cans of Indian brands of beer are allowed to be carried.

One person will have only one license

A person can have only one license, which he can use at his home or farm house. It should also be ensured that it is kept out of reach of persons below 21 years of age.
