Her first media appearance was when she accompanied King Charles on an official visit to recognize Zimbabwe’s independence in 1980, and in 2000 she was officially presented to Queen Elizabeth II.
Five years later, Camilla was recognized as a key member of the royal family after her marriage to Charles.
Camilla accompanied Charles to the United States on her first official overseas trip as Duchess of Cornwall in November 2005.
In 212, Queen Elizabeth awarded him the Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order.
