The American Patriot air defense system and Ukrainian militants trained in its use have arrived in Ukraine. This was reported by Politico, citing a senior Pentagon source.
The air defense system crew was trained at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, according to the report. The complex arrived in Ukraine last week.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States Armed Forces, General Mark Milley, announced the completion of the training of 65 Patriot complex operators from Ukraine. Anti-aircraft gunners trained at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder said they would be united with other Ukrainian specialists in Europe to operate this equipment.
In April, it was reported that Patriot air defense systems from the United States, the Netherlands and Germany had arrived in Ukraine. The German government notably announced the delivery of its ammunition system.
The Polish Defense Minister also reported that the Patriot air defense system has already arrived in Ukraine.
