40 terrorists killed in operation by security forces in Nigeria

Lagos. At least 40 extremist militants have been killed in operations by government security forces in Nigeria’s northeast region.

Army spokesman Musa Danmadami said that 40 terrorists have been killed in the operation by the security forces in the last two weeks. He said that the troops have also rescued 131 abducted people from the troubled area.

The spokesman said 510 members of the extremist group Boko Haram and their families surrendered to government troops at various locations. These include 54 adult males, 164 adult females and 292 children.
