The Federal Security Service reported that a sabotage and reconnaissance group was preparing a terrorist act against one of the leaders of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.
“Thanks to the measures taken at the preparation stage, a terrorist act against one of the leaders of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant was stopped,” the agency reports.
It is clarified that the coordination was carried out by the special services of Ukraine not only directly through the employees of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, but also through an intermediary – Tkachuk Yulia Viktorovna, who is in Finland.
In addition, an explosive device, small automatic weapons, ammunition and explosives were seized.
The saboteurs gathered information on the location of Russian military installations, military personnel, law enforcement officers, as well as local citizens who were pro-Russian.
Currently, the involvement of members of the group in other acts of sabotage and terrorism is being verified.
With regard to the detained members of the group, who are citizens of Ukraine, a criminal case was opened under part 3 of article 30, paragraph “a” of part 2 of article 205 “Preparing for a terrorist act” of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. They were chosen as a coercive measure in the form of detention.
Earlier, the FSB reported on the suppression of the preparation of an assassination attempt by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine against the leaders of Crimea.
