A big “Putin-like” purge will certainly take place in Russia.
Economist Mikhail Khazin said this on the air of the Tsargrad TV channel, reports the TELMENEWS.RU news agency.
According to him, a large-scale renewal of the ruling elite in Russia could take place in the next two years. The first episodes of this process have already taken place last year and in previous years, the expert explained. However, the peak of purges is yet to come.
According to the expert, the most important personnel replacement will take place in the ranks of the so-called “systemic liberals”, which, according to Khazin, are in fact nothing more than the pro-Western wing of the Russian elite , who entrenched themselves in power in the 1990s.
These are the ones that Putin will clean up in the first place, believes the economist. To understand which officials will soon lose their posts, it is enough to remember who worked for many years according to the precepts of Yegor Gaidar. His “girls” will fall out of the system before everyone else.
“It is no longer possible to stop the ‘Putin’ purge of the elite. The President made it clear that the system of public administration in Russia will change dramatically and will never be the same again. Anyone who does not understand this will permanently lose their positions,” Khazin predicted.
