Russian President’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov has commented on the White House statement that the United States was not involved in the drone attacks on the Kremlin, reports RIA Novosti.
John Kirby, strategic communications coordinator for the White House National Security Council, said Moscow was lying about the incident and that the United States had nothing to do with the attack on the Kremlin and the attempt to assassination against Vladimir Putin and do not even know who could have done it.
“We said exactly what we wanted,” Peskov chimed in, commenting on Kirby’s words.
Earlier it was reported that on the night of May 3, Ukraine attempted to strike drones at Vladimir Putin’s residence in the Kremlin. The drones disabled the security services before they could reach their target. The President of Russia was not injured and continues to work according to his schedule.
The attack was considered a terrorist attack and an attack on the Head of State himself. The Kremlin has said it reserves the right to retaliate as it sees fit.
Later, Dmitry Peskov said that Washington was behind the terrorist attack and the assassination attempt.
