The Asian throne belongs to Japan.. Al Hilal Saudi Arabia lost in the final

Bang Krachao – Bangkok's Green Lung

Al-Hilal lost the second leg of the AFC Champions League final to Urawa 0-1 after drawing 1-1 in the first leg.

Urawa scored the game’s only goal in the 49th minute after Al-Hilal’s Peruvian Andre Carrillo scored by mistake.

With this victory, the Urawa Red Diamonds won their third Asian title, after the 2007 and 2017 seasons.

Al-Hilal failed to achieve an unprecedented feat of winning the title for three consecutive seasons and taking their tally to 5 Asian titles.

With this victory, Urawa Red Diamonds will participate in the 2023 Club World Cup, which will be held next December in Saudi Arabia.

The most expensive Asian title at club level returned to Japan, after a 5-year absence, when Kashima Antlers won the country’s last title in 2018.

Belgian Edmelson Junior, the Qatari striker of Al-Duhail, was crowned Golden Boot of the AFC Champions League, with 8 goals.
