Berlusconi prepared a video message from the San Raffaele Clinic in Milan, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
“If China – I say this, of course, exaggerating – ever decides to occupy Italy and maybe another European country, we would have absolutely no idea how to handle this. And the best thing to do is go to school to learn Chinese,” said the famous politician.
Berlusconi believes that the EU should have a common military policy which would provide for close cooperation between the armies of the organisation’s member states. Other important changes, according to Berlusconi, are the increase in military spending and the formation of a unified rapid reaction force, which should number at least 300,000 men.
