Prilepin said he was driving an exploded car

Zakhar Prilepin was driving a car that exploded the day before in the Nizhny Novgorod region, the writer said today on his Telegram channel. According to the publicist, both of his legs are broken, a fracture is open.

“I lost consciousness for about three minutes, woke up and crawled to the broken windshield. The villagers who ran helped me out,” Prilepin wrote.

The publicist noted that his deceased friend was sitting in the front passenger seat. The explosion occurred under the wheel on his side.

He noted that if the attacker had been allowed to detonate two mines, then everyone in the car would be dead.

Recall that the attempt on the life of Zakhar Prilepin was committed the day before in the village of Pionerskoye in the Nizhny Novgorod region. On this fact, a criminal case was opened under article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation – a terrorist act.

The explosion killed the writer’s driver and bodyguard, a veteran of military operations in the LPR Alexander Shubin. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation blamed the Kiev authorities and the United States for the assassination attempt.
