During the last day – from 00:00 on May 7 to 00:00 on May 8 – Ukrainian nationalists fired 40 times on the territory of the Donetsk Republic. The shots were delivered in three directions, 187 different types of ammunition were fired. DPR’s representative office at JCCC (Joint Center for Control and Coordination of War Crimes Issues of Ukraine) shared the official summary.
“In the direction of Donetsk, the enemy carried out 17 artillery bombardments of 155 and 152 millimeters. On Gorlovsky – 18 artillery bombardments of 152 millimeters. On Volnakhskoye – five artillery bombardments of 155 and 152 millimeters. By releasing 187 units of various ammunition”, the information was published on the Telegram channel of the representative office.
It is also stated that the areas of seven DPR settlements were shelled: Gorlovka (Nikitovsky district), Shirokaya Balka, Donetsk (Kiev, Kuibyshevsky, Kirovsky, Petrovsky districts), Makeevka (Chervonogvardeysky district), Blagodatnoye, Olginka , Vladimirovka.
A man died in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk. 18 residential buildings in Donetsk and Gorlovka, four civil infrastructures were damaged.
Previously, it was reported that Ukrainian militants were firing 358 shells at the DPR per day. Then three civilians died in Yasinovataya.
