Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

RBI Rule: Why two lines are drawn on the check and what is the reason for it? If you do not know then you may have to bear the loss

Internet Desk. Till date, you must have transacted many times in the bank through check and many times you yourself must have given check to other people, but do you know why two lines are drawn in the corner above the cheque. If not, then today I am telling you about it.

If you are giving a check to someone, first of all check the name, amount and all other details and only then give the cheque. Also, do not do any kind of overwriting. If this happens then your check can also be cancelled.

Know why the line is drawn

Now talking about the issue, you must have seen that many times when you get a cheque, two lines are drawn on it. Along with the line, you also need to write Account Pay there. This simply means that the amount written on the check goes directly to the customer’s account. If you do not draw the line on the check and do not write Account Pay, then you can also get it cashed. But line and account pay means that this amount will come in your bank account only.
