Pakistan’s economy worse than Sri Lanka’s: Imran Khan

Lahore/Washington: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and ousted Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan claimed that the economic condition of Pakistan has become worse than that of Sri Lanka. This information has been given in the local media report. According to the information, however, he said that a strong government with a mandate can take the country out of the economic quagmire. The PTI chief reiterated that free and fair elections are the only solution to the current economic and political instability in the country.

Citing a recent report by Bloomberg, Imran said that the publication highlighted that the economic condition of Pakistan has worsened even more than that of Sri Lanka. According to the report, “Today Pakistan has a higher inflation rate than Sri Lanka.” had not harmed Pakistan in this way.

Khan claimed, “He (Bajwa) imposed on the country all those corrupt people who had no stake in Pakistan.” According to the report, “More than 60 percent of the members of the current federal cabinet are on bail in corruption cases.
