Urgent warning to WhatsApp users regarding these numbers

News site Mint reported that fraudsters are again using WhatsApp to trick app users.

In detail, a number of the app’s over 2 billion users have complained of receiving suspicious calls from different countries, including:

Ethiopia (251+) Malaysia (60+) Indonesia (62+) Kenya (254+) Vietnam (84+)

However, these number introductions do not necessarily mean that the scammers made calls or sent messages from these countries, especially considering that WhatsApp calls can be made over the Internet.

Fraudsters can also buy international numbers from agencies in a particular country.

Many users of the “Twitter” micro-blogging site have revealed that they were exposed to fraud attempts via “WhatsApp”, such as an Indian user who said he received 3 calls from Indonesia.

What do users do if they receive these calls?

Right now, these calls are best ignored and not answered, and they can also block and report the owners of these calls.
