With tires and packaging… A couple transforms the roof of their house into a square of greenery

The couple use clay pots, plastic bottles and even car tires to grow aloe vera and various plants that are good for health and the environment.

Palestinian Alaa Badwan said: “I collected household waste in plastic jugs and milk jugs, and we started using them by planting aloe vera seedlings on the roof of the house. From this way, we help the environment by providing clean, fresh air and avoiding waste nuisance.

While some Palestinians use their roofs to grow crops and make a profit, this family’s main goal is to raise awareness about the importance of protecting the environment.
