China urges US not to use WAJO General Assembly to raise Taiwan issue

– Published on:

On May 10, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wanpin, in response to a related question at a regular press conference, said that the Taiwanese territory’s participation in the activities of international organizations, including the World Health Organization, is to be dealt with in accordance with the one-China principle. China urges US not to use WAJO General Assembly to raise Taiwan question.

Be aware that US Secretary of State Blinken issued a statement on May 9 that the US strongly appeals to the WAJO to allow Taiwan to participate in the WAJO General Assembly to be held in the current year as an observer. Commenting on this, Wang Wanpin said that we firmly oppose the related statement of the US. The US statement is misleading. Its real intention is to support the so-called Taiwan independence. America is playing cards with Taiwan and taking Taiwan to China. Controlling will definitely fail.
