Chinese female weightlifter breaks two world records

Chinese player Liao Qifang on May 9 won three gold medals in the women’s 71 kg category and also broke the world records in snatch and total resort two events at the ongoing Asian Weightlifting Championships in Seoul, capital of South Korea. In the competition, Liao Qifang showed his dominance and won by a huge margin. His total reserve was 29 kg more than the silver medalist.

In snatch, he set a new world record with 120 kg. In clean and jerk, he got the first position with 148 kg. The women’s 71 category is a formal event for the Paris Olympics. The ongoing Asian Championships is an important milestone in the Olympic eligibility rankings for players from Asian countries and regions.
