Trump waived his right to testify at trial, opting not to present a defense, betting the jury would find that Carroll failed to present a compelling case.
Carroll, 79, filed suit last year against Trump, 76, alleging he raped her in the dressing room of Manhattan’s Bergdorf Goodman department store in 1995 or 1996 and then defamed her when he denied that it had happened.
The former Elle magazine columnist is seeking unspecified damages.
