Shooting near a synagogue in Tunisia kills several people

In Tunisia, there was a shooting near the synagogue. As a result, four people died. Around nine other people are reported to have been injured, including local security officials.

It was noted that the scene was closed. An investigation into “the motives of this heinous and cowardly attack” is underway. The information is provided by RIA Novosti with reference to the local Ministry of the Interior.

“As a result, six security officers were injured more or less seriously, one of them died. Two parishioners also died and four suffered various injuries and were hospitalized,” the agency reports.

Previously it was reported that this led to a mass shooting in Serbia. There, the 21-year-old criminal killed eight people and injured 14 people and fled.

He was arrested while trying to escape: he kidnapped a taxi driver and, threatening him with a grenade, ordered him to be taken to the neighboring village.
