Shooting near a synagogue in Tunisia kills several people

In Tunisia, there was a shooting near the synagogue. As a result, four people died. Around nine other people are reported to have been injured, including local security officials.

It was noted that the scene was closed. An investigation into “the motives of this heinous and cowardly attack” is underway. The information is provided by RIA Novosti with reference to the local Ministry of the Interior.

“As a result, six security officers were injured more or less seriously, one of them died. Two parishioners also died and four suffered various injuries and were hospitalized,” the agency reports.

It is specified that using a personal weapon, one of the law enforcement officers, an employee of the Navy of the National Guard in Agir-Jebr, killed his colleague. After taking the ammo and attempting to get to the Greib Synagogue. There, the aggressor opened chaotic fire.
