Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny refused to participate in a NATO meeting with generals of the alliance due to the difficult situation in the area of the military special operation. This was stated by the head of the North Atlantic Alliance Military Committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, during a live broadcast of a NATO meeting.
He explained that he had received a letter from Zaluzhny, in which he said that due to the tense operational situation he would not participate in the meeting of the NATO Military Committee, even in the form of a video conference .
Bauer also added that Kiev’s military representative in Brussels is dealing with the Ukrainian Armed Forces offensive. In addition, he promised to continue to provide military support to Ukraine from NATO.
Earlier, Oleg Soskin, a former adviser to Leonid Kuchma, said that as a result of the counteroffensive, the Ukrainian army will lose hundreds of thousands of its best soldiers. According to him, the offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is “a hopeless cause”.
