The Minister of Energy and Infrastructure indicated that the country has reached the first positions and advances at the world level in 5 main indicators related to the ministry’s work system according to the Global Competitiveness Yearbook report published by the International Institute for Development management, the Global Talent Competitiveness report published by The INSEAD College and the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), and the Prosperity Index report published by the Legatum Institute, is a new achievement which adds to the series of achievements that have been achieved through the forward-looking visions of the United Arab Emirates led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum , Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of the State of Dubai, who have made the country a global model of development and prosperity.
Al Mazrouei congratulated the wise leadership and all those who contributed to this qualitative achievement, which supports the achievement of the goals of the next fifty years and the centenary of the United Arab Emirates 2071, stressing that the obtaining of these centers by the country is a incentive to continue the ambitious work for the UAE as one of the global pioneers, a global center and a successful model of development, prosperity and sustainable development in various sectors.
He pointed out that the country continues its leadership and leading position among the top 10 countries in the world, leading the world stage in indicators of access to electricity, satisfaction with roads, infrastructure energy and city management, in addition to access indicators. The country ranks third in the world for total household energy production and sanitation efficiency indicators, in addition to sixth for the water production index.
He said: “The UAE has become a beacon of development, prosperity and growth, thanks to their wise leadership that has made the UAE a ‘home of the impossible’, when they have transformed the challenges into opportunities and dreams into tangible reality, and that the “The ambition of the sons of Zayed is great and their successes are continuous, and they will not be satisfied with what they have achieved. On the contrary, they will continue on the path of achievements that support the goals of global leadership in various fields by 2071.”
He explained that the leadership of the global competitiveness indicators reflects the firm principles established by the state since the establishment of the federation, which requires putting the work of the government at the service of society and its happiness, and pursuing wise policies and ambitious visions, in addition to concerted efforts, joint work, and fruitful and constructive cooperation with partners in the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, to make the United Arab Emirates a better country in the world and strengthen its global leadership in the energy, infrastructure, water, transport and housing sectors.
For his part, Engineer Hassan Muhammad Jumaa Al Mansouri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure for Infrastructure and Transport, pointed out that the country’s achievement of the first and advanced levels of competitiveness indicators in the ranks of the top 10 countries in the world reflects a vision of wise leadership, the efficiency of government work and the efforts of a working team.
