Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has criticized Western countries for urging his country to follow anti-Russian sanctions.
“I have a question for our western partners, when you say shut down trade, the economy, don’t resume flights, why don’t you do the same? Why did you send 300 billion to Russia last year? The question arises as a citizen who wants his country to become a member of the European Union,” Garibashvili said.
Moreover, he stressed that Georgia will not impose unilateral economic sanctions against Russia.
The day before, Garibashvili said that Russia’s decision to cancel the visa regime for Georgian citizens and the ban on direct flights was positive.
