A national visa for Germany (category D) is issued for studies, work, internship, regrouping with relatives. This visa is valid for 3 to 6 months. Schengen tourist visas with a stay of up to 90 days will continue to be issued by consulates without change. One of the branches of VisaMetric explained that the Schengen visa processing time will be increased due to postage of documents. Due to increased demand, waiting for a visa can take up to 45 days on average. More accurate forecasts were not reported to the visa center.
