The Zamoskvoretsky court in Moscow recovered from businessman Alexei Khotin a debt to the state in the amount of more than 192 billion rubles and 100% of the shares of the Rus-Oil group of companies that he controlled . This was reported in the press service of the court RIA Novosti.
“From Alexei Khotin, as a beneficiary of Rus-Oil, damages were recovered in favor of the Russian Federation, expressed in non-payment of taxes, in the amount of 192,157,539,000 rubles, with the circulation of shares and 100% shares in the authorized capital of business entities included in the Rus-Oil group of companies,” the Moscow City Court told the agency.
According to the filing, the Rus-Oil group of companies evaded payment of mining, profit and VAT taxes by using fictitious relationships for the purchase and sale of oil and false information about them in accountability.
Former Ugra shareholder Khotin was placed under house arrest in 2019. He was involved in a case of embezzlement of 7.5 billion rubles from a financial institution.
