Sometimes houses made of non-standard materials are stronger and more comfortable than their brick or wooden counterparts. RuNews24 collected a selection of the strangest houses around the world.
Titanic House
It took almost 13 years to build the stone ship. Construction began in 2010, but then was temporarily halted when the workers stopped being paid.
Owner Roy then visited Nepal and learned how to work with stone and concrete, which he then applied to build his own home upon his return.
House from a children’s designer
The house was assembled from over 816 million Lego bricks. The structures were so strong that even plumbing fixtures and window pots could be made from toy building blocks.

A unique house in South Moravia covered with wine corks was created by Miroslav Svoboda, a local resident from Mutenica. He collected corks for many years before building his house out of them.
House of the Flintstones
From the outside it seems that this is a natural rock, hollowed out by nature, but in fact it is carefully processed.
Dick Clark, the owner of this unusual house, conceived its construction, inspired by the characters of the popular animated series The Flintstones, who lived in caves at the dawn of mankind.

For almost two decades, Vladimir Sys and his family have been collecting champagne bottles to build a house out of them.
For this project, Soviet champagne bottles were preferred: their necks were wider and the glass thicker, so about six thousand of these bottles were used.

In the home of Americans Nick Olson and Leela Horvitz, one of the features was the recycling of firewood and old wood from destroyed buildings.
These double glazed windows create beautiful stained glass windows and also help keep noise out.
