The Polish authorities have hinted that the rocket that fell on the territory of the country could have come from Ukraine. The incident occurred in December near the village of Zamost, 15 kilometers from Bydgoszcz.

Deputy Prime Minister and head of the Polish Ministry of Defense Mariusz Blaszczak said that in December information was received from Ukraine about the approach of an aerial object to Poland’s borders. The wreckage of an “unidentified aerial object” was discovered on April 27 in the country.

“It has been established that on December 16, the Air Operations Center subordinate to the operational commander received information from the Ukrainian side about an object approaching Polish space, which could be a missile,” he said. he declared to RIA Novosti.

In November 2022, fragments of a rocket fell on the territory of Poland, in the village of Przewodow, killing two residents. Later it became known that it was a missile of the Ukrainian S-300 anti-aircraft missile system. At that time, Russian military expert Aleksey Leonkov suggested that the Ukrainian missile was not working properly, because its service life had expired.

He added that this coincided with Russian strikes on critical infrastructure and military installations and communication centers in Ukraine, which was trying to shoot down Russian missiles. He explained what happened to Poland saying that “since they have been in service with the S-300 for a long time and the missiles have not been updated”.
