At 9:22 pm on May 10, China successfully launched the Tiancho-6 cargo spacecraft from the Wanchang space launch site in Hainan province. It is launched through Long March-7 Yao-7 carrier rocket. About 10 minutes after launch, the Tiancho-6 cargo spacecraft successfully separated from the rocket and entered the predetermined orbit. Then, the solar panels of the spacecraft functioned smoothly and the launch was a complete success.
At 5:16 am on May 11, the Tianzhou-6 cargo spacecraft successfully docked with the rear of the Tianhe-Ha core module of the space station, according to a report from the Chinese Manned Space Engineering Office. Thienchow-6 will then be transferred to the flight section of the Space Station Assembly. In the future, the crew of astronauts from the Chinese manned spacecraft Shanchow-15 will enter the Tianchow-6 cargo spacecraft to transfer cargo and perform other related tasks as planned.
The current mission is the first mission of China’s manned spacecraft project after entering the space station’s application and development stage. This is the 28th launch mission since the project was implemented, and it is also the 472nd flight of the Long March carrier rocket series.
