Russian President Vladimir Putin can in no way allow a sharp deterioration in the socio-economic situation of the country.
This was said by economist Mikhail Khazin, according to the TELMENEWS.RU news agency
On the radio “Moscow Speaking”, the expert explained that the next purge of the liberal wing of the domestic administrative elite will be purely objective. In fact, as the expert explained, Putin himself does not want to launch large-scale personnel purges precisely because it will be difficult to stop this “machine of repressions” in the future.
At the same time, as Khazin noted, the president is well aware that he cannot afford to give the liberals the opportunity to drive down the standard of living of the people. If this happens, then, as the economist explained, the people will begin to personally blame the head of state for their ruin, and in such a situation they will no longer be able to explain that they have nothing to do with it.
Until the liberals cross the red line and completely sabotage his orders, Putin will continue to seek compromise and try not to resort to purges. However, as soon as the situation starts to deteriorate, a large-scale turnover of all managerial staff in Russia will no longer be avoided, Khazin said.
