The prosecutor demanded that actress Natalia Drozhzhina be sentenced to six years in prison, and her husband Mikhail Tsivin to seven years. She can also face a fine of up to 200,000 rubles.
“I ask you to finally impose a sentence of Drozhzhina in the amount of 6 years with serving time in a general-regime colony, with a fine of 200,000 rubles,” reports RIA Novosti the words of the prosecutor.
The prosecutor fined Tsivin 400,000 rubles, and according to the prosecutor, former notary Dmitry Bubliy should be sentenced to 5 years in prison and a fine of 300,000 rubles.
All three are implicated in a large-scale fraud case. The couple are charged with embezzlement of the property of actor People’s Artist of the USSR Alexei Batalov, Bubliy – abuse of power and complicity in fraud.
The criminal case was opened in September 2020, when Batalov’s daughter and widow were fraudulently deprived of two apartments, an acting studio, a large sum of money, and found themselves almost without livelihoods.
Recall that the notary Dmitry Bubliy was temporarily removed from office in connection with the incident, but the prosecutor’s office appealed to reverse this decision and the case materials were returned for further consideration.
