Earthquake tremors felt in Chiba, Japan, magnitude 5.4

Tokyo: Strong earthquake tremors were felt in Chiba province of Japan on Thursday morning. According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the intensity of the earthquake has been measured at 5.4 on the Richter scale. The earthquake hit the province at 04:16 am local time. The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 40 km. The earthquake’s maximum intensity was five on Japan’s 7-grade scale. According to the agency, no tsunami warning has been issued. There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage from the quake.
