The European Union has offered at the official level to stop deliveries through the Druzhba pipeline from Russia to Poland and Germany, Bloomberg reports, citing documents. It is specified that the exception will concern deliveries to Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
“The EU has offered to formalize the suspension of Russian oil deliveries through the pipeline to Germany and Poland,” the statement said.
These countries have been exempted from EU sanctions, but according to the documents, it is proposed to exempt them from the special provisions.
The agency reports that Germany and Poland have already stopped including crude oil through the Druzhba pipeline, having delivered on their promises to cut costs.
Earlier, the official representative of Transneft, Igor Demin, said that an attempted terrorist act was committed against the Druzhba pipeline system at the Bryansk loading station.
