Bus overturns in Afghanistan, 7 killed, 14 injured

Kabul: At least seven passengers were killed and 14 others injured in a road accident in Afghanistan’s northern Badakhshan province. Qari Majuddin Ahmadi, head of the country’s provincial information and culture department, gave this information on Saturday. According to a news agency report, Ahmadi said that the accident occurred in Kejar village of Khash district on Friday evening when the bus overturned due to a technical fault.

Seven people, including women and children, in the bus died on the spot and 14 others were injured. The condition of some of the injured is serious. Bad roads, reckless driving on congested roads, and ignorance of safety measures while traveling are attributed to fatal road accidents in Afghanistan.
