San Francisco: Riot Games, makers of smash-hit video games like League of Legends and Valorant, has hired Indian-origin A.I. Dylan Jadeja has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company. Riot Games said, “We are proud to announce that our current Global President, A.J. Dylan Jadeja will become our next CEO later this year. Dylan will replace the company’s current CEO, Nicolo Laurent, who has spent the past 14 years in leadership roles at Riot, including six as CEO.
He first joined the company in 2011 as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and added Chief Operating Officer (COO) to his role in 2014. The company said the CEO transition from Nicolo to Dylan will take place over the coming months and should be completed by the end of 2023, after which Nicolo will remain in an advisory role with Riot. When the company’s founders transitioned to co-chairman roles in 2017, Dylan was named President of Riot and has been one of the key leaders in formulating Riot’s strategy and driving its culture.
Jadeja said in a message to the rioters, I have been here for more than 12 years, and Riot is my home in many ways; A home that I am deeply invested in, fiercely protect and am grateful for every single day. That said, as CEO, it’s fair to assume that I may do something different than what I’ve done before, but I want to assure you that the goal for us together will not waver.
