Lin Chi is an employee of the Uzbekistan company of China Petroleum International Pipeline Company. After graduating from a petroleum college in 2015, he joined China Petroleum International Pipeline Company. He came to Uzbekistan in 2016 and has been working there for 7 years. He is now in charge of the production and operation management of the Uzbekistan Gas Source Access Station of the Central Asia Natural Gas Pipeline.

The “Belt and Road” project China-Central Asia Natural Gas Pipeline is an important energy channel connecting China and many countries in Central Asia. Talking about his work, Lin Chi takes great pride in it. He noted that as an important natural gas producer in Central Asia, Uzbekistan exports natural gas to China. The compressor station where he works is responsible for injecting natural gas from the interior of Central Asia into the Central Asian Natural Gas Pipeline. From Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan reaching Khorgos in Xinjiang, China and then connected to the domestic pipeline network. Bringing clean energy benefits to 300 million people in China’s 27 provinces, cities, autonomous regions and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, effectively guaranteeing demand for the domestic natural gas market.

When Lin Chi first came to work in Uzbekistan, it was challenging for her to adapt to the local climate, language, culture and other aspects. But after seven years of experience, Lin Chi’s overseas experience has given him more opportunities to communicate with many advanced companies in the world, expanding his horizons and improving his professional skills.
