Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Video.. A helicopter was shot down in Russia near the border with Ukraine

Russia’s ‘Tass’ news agency quoted an emergency services official as saying preliminary information indicated a fire broke out in the engine of the helicopter before it crashed near Klintsy , about 40 km from the border.

However, a clip posted on Russian channel “Voyni Osvidometel” on Telegram showed a helicopter exploding as it flew at high altitude, veering off course and then falling to the ground with burning flames in it.

Comments accompanying the video clip said a missile shot down the Russian-made Mi-8 helicopter.

Other images released by the channel showed the wreckage of the plane in an agricultural field.

The Mi-8 has multiple uses, ranging from military to civilian.

Ukraine has not commented on the incident.
